Most people save cleaning and organizing for Spring and Fall, but what about the dead of Winter? With the calendar New Year around the corner, lots of folks are taking time to clean out their lives - getting rid of the things they don't need/want and making room to welcome in the new (possibly better) things. Some refer to this as Resolutions, but even without a name, this is a good time to review your life as is and decide if you'd like to continue the same path or make changes.
Are you making Resolutions or Life Changes now?
Please share, if you are willing.
And now, my question to you folks is actually related to the prompt.... Over the past few days, I've been working on my own Resolution to keep up better with any responses that are shared here. I've been wading through all the comments ever made on this blog, reading people's blog posts inspired by or related to the prompts, and leaving comments where I can. In fact, some of you may have seen a bunch of comments from me (Connie Mitan via Google) - I'm not trying to spam, just let you know that your post is in fact being read, and that your participation here is acknowledged and appreciated.
In the process of reading through old comments, I've come across quite a few links that are no longer valid. My question to you is, should I delete the comments with dead links? Kind of a "cleaning house" thing... If this was my personal blog, I'd just do it, but because this is more 'public domain', I thought I would try to be fair to those that have engaged with us in the past.... Then again, would they ever even know their comment was deleted?
One last thing... I am looking for a better way to allow people to share their links, and I came across Linky Tools. Have you ever used it before? Would you be interested in seeing that added here, rather than having to comment through blogger? Any suggestions for the best source of one of these tools?
Don't forget, we're on Facebook now! And we have updated graphics, thanks to Shauna L. If you have a button for us on your blog/site, please update it to the new one.
And with that, I wish everyone a Blessed, Healthy and Prosperous 2012!

here's my post on it
linky is a great idea!
I don't usually do resolutions I make goals and plans instead.
My post is http://fabulouslyflawedpatchworkmemoir.blogspot.com/2011/12/good-riddance-day-2011-new-year-goals.html
I do plan on keeping to them, I find in writing it down I can keep to it.
I would delete the dead links. I find it annoying when I come across one. As for the linky tools they seem to work well for speed and ease of use in links.
Thanks for all the work you do. I hope to post my new year's plans soon.
I say delete dead links. It is a favor to us. Have a Happy and Prosperous New Year yourself!

And I've never used Linky Tools. Worth a shot.
I'm all for getting rid of broken links, makes it easier to go back and look for other blog posts.
I love a note of feed back! Thank you. It makes me feel like I am not simply shouting in a barrel.
I'm curious about the linky tools. haven't used them or figured them out. Help is appreciated.
Here is my New Years Blog Link. Check out the pix! http://dorothyas.blogspot.com/2011/12/new-beginnings-resolved-i-am-i-love-i.html#!/2011/12/new-beginnings-resolved-i-am-i-love-i.html
I don't make resolutions; my brother told me mine was silly the first year (I was 9 and resolved to "listen to Mami and go to bed when I was told"... It was my first year staying up until midnight) so I said I wouldn't make any if I couldn't make the one I wanted, and since then I never have.
I think the clearing of links is up to you. I don't bother personally, but it's your call.
As for the linky thing... Be careful with the posh new tools; many of them aren't accessable to those of us using screen readers.
Thanks guys! All dead links have been deleted, and any direct links to blogs posted in comments to a prompt here have been read and commented on by yours truly. I'm going to look more into the Linky things, and hopefully decide on something that works for the New Year.
Don't forget to update your blog buttons!

Thanks and have a wonderful year! :-)
I certainly appreciated all your comments!
I've only ever used disque. But almost anything else is better than bloggers setup IMO.

After receiving a reply from a local coven start-up, began going thru supplies its time to get rid of and realized "damn, I have alot of stuff I don't use anymore". It'll be good to declutter and someone else will benefit. Also yearly I go thru household stuff I don't need, and donate it to a local charity. I think anytime is a good time to reassess our place on our path. Strangely after I started doing this I came across a ladybug in my house, who is symbolic of self transformations. That's when I knew this was precisely what I should be doing at this time.
Hmm.... sharing blog buttons, now there's something I hadn't thought of. Perhaps I will make a widget on the side, or a separate page, for anyone that wishes to have their blog linked to from here.... I'll let you know what I decide on, and ask for your buttons when I'm ready.
In other news, the owner of Linky Tools has offered me a free subscription to test out how well it works with screen readers and other disability tools. I will probably take him up on it, at the very least for you, Toriz.
Haha I wrote a blog post on this before i read the prompt but Ill share anyway! http://livingthepath.blogspot.com/2011/12/happy-2012.html
I think you should clear your dead links. Clean house! :)
I don't do resolutions really, but I did write about my goals and plans for 2012 :)

And cleaning house is always a good thing :)

I blogged with this group for awhile last year but closed my blog due to illness. It has been with some trepidation and excitement I have reopened my blog and just done a small excerpt about what the new year means to me.
