Prompt: Pagan Pride Day

It's that time of year, when many places around the US (and perhaps the world?) are hosting Pagan Pride Day events.... Such events are designed to raise pride in Pagan individuals, as well as provide education and awareness to those who would otherwise never know about paganism and it's many facets of life.

These events are usually one-day festivals with vendors and other booths, music and entertainment, and of course the food! It's a great excuse to get out and meet new people that share a common interest with you.

What's your take on the whole thing? Do you have one nearby? Have you ever been? Do you support the ideals of the original project?

Or do you think that such festivals are merely there to stroke your ego, or are another excuse to dress funny and get drunk?

How do Pagan Pride events compare to something like a Gay Pride event?

I have never been to one - i believe we have one in Denver not sure about Colorado Springs - I think it would be interesting to go and learn more about the religion :)

I've not ever been to one, either. I think it would be so much fun and such a good way to send positive images of us out there to the general public.
