Sometimes donating a little of your time can be spiritually rewarding... So I began wondering about other folks and how/why they volunteer....
Do you volunteer in your community? -
If so, what is it you do?Is there a religious or spiritual reason that you started doing it? Does that differ from why you still do it?

The foundation of our deepest pagan/shamanic roots are founded on beliefs that put community and the needs of others ahead of our own. At one time 'volunteering' was a hard wired reflex and it is fundamentally spiritual at its core. I have been 'volunteering' for 57 years in whatever capacity I am able to at any given time in my life. And although fallen to the attrition of getting older I still foster kittens, look after ferals, and sew for organizations that need it.
